WRITING

When I was six years old I discovered I love to read.  Reading took me to far away places and let my imagination soar.  It's a love affair I still have today!  Much to my surprise I learned that I had the power to create the far away places and interesting characters myself  and  At age ten I discovered I loved to write and I won my first writing contest.  Unfortunately the road to my dream was not an easy one - and I put it on the back burner for a while.  But it never went away.  I'm really glad it didn't.  And after a lot of ups and downs, a stack of rejection letters and encouragement and belief from my family, friends and wonderful husband Ken - My dream has become a reality. 

Since that time I've been published in many national magazines and publications including; CAPITOL MUSIC FEST, CHARISMA, LADIES HOME JOURNAL, LUCIDITY, NEW MAN, NORTH JAX MONTHLY, WOMAN'S WORLD, TCC &  THE FLORIDA TIMES UNION.  

Someone to Trust, Published by White Rose Publishing is my debut novel.

PERSONALLY

I'm a native Floridian through and through.  I love the Florida sunshine and Ken teases me that if it drops below 70 degrees I'm complaining that it's cold!  We  live in Florida with our three children and our super smart Schnauzer, Jackson who we lovingly call Jack. 

Ken and I have been married for 27 wonderful years - Yay!  He's a romantic at heart and still captures my attention and will always have my heart.

I love traveling, trying new restaurants and sharing adventures  with my husband.  This lends a hand to the travel writing we do and is great inspiration for some of the places I create in my stories.  Sometimes when I'm visiting a place or simply eating at a great restaurant a character will jump out of my head and say, "Hey this is where I want to live."  And so they do.
